Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Moonsplit collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website and the text messages our software sends on behalf of our customers.

Who we are

Moonsplit builds software for businesses. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Moonsplit. You can reach us at hello@moonsplit.co.

What we collect on this website

If you request early access, we keep the email address you give us. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited, to run and secure the site. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

What we process through our software

Businesses that use Moonsplit can send text messages to people who have agreed to receive them. To do that we process, on the business's behalf, the recipient's name, mobile number, the content of the messages, replies such as STOP, YES or HELP, and a record of the consent the recipient gave: when, how and who recorded it.

How we use information

We use it to provide and secure our service, to send the messages a recipient agreed to receive, to honor opt-outs, to answer questions, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use message recipients' information to advertise to them.

Text messaging and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is the providers that carry the messages, such as our messaging platform and the mobile carriers, which receive what they need to deliver each message and nothing more.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that host and run our service under contracts that limit their use of it, with the business a message was sent for, or when the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep early access emails until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them. We keep text message consent and opt-out records for seven years, because they prove a person agreed to receive messages. We keep other records only as long as we need them to run the service or meet legal obligations.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected people and businesses if a breach touches their information, as the law requires.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help. To see, correct or delete information we hold about you, write to hello@moonsplit.co. If a message was sent on behalf of a business, we may pass your request to that business.

Children

This website and our service are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
